Participants will learn to clearly differentiate between cardiac arrest and heart attack, including their causes, symptoms, and urgency levels. They will understand how cardiac arrest is an electrical failure of the heart requiring immediate CPR and AED use, while a heart attack is a circulation issue that may lead to cardiac arrest. This section will help learners recognise early warning signs and respond correctly in emergency situations to improve survival outcomes.
Participants will learn the correct CPR sequence for adults, including how to assess responsiveness, activate emergency response, and perform high-quality chest compressions. They will be trained on proper compression rate, depth, and hand positioning, as well as minimizing interruptions during CPR. The session will also cover when and how to include rescue breaths if trained. By the end, participants will be able to confidently perform CPR until advanced help or an AED arrives.
Participants will gain hands-on exposure to different AED models including HeartSine, LifePak CR2, and Primedic. They will learn how to power on the device, follow voice prompts, apply electrode pads correctly, and deliver a shock safely if advised. The session will build familiarity across multiple AED brands so users can operate any device confidently during emergencies without hesitation.
Participants will learn how to perform routine AED readiness checks, including verifying battery status, checking pad expiry dates, and ensuring the device indicates operational readiness. They will also understand proper storage conditions and how to identify warning indicators or faults. This section ensures participants are able to confirm that an AED is always in a ready-to-use state during emergencies.
Participants will understand the importance of regular AED maintenance and what is included in a servicing program. They will learn about battery and pad replacement cycles, device inspections, and performance checks. This section highlights how maintenance ensures long-term reliability and compliance with safety standards, reducing the risk of device failure when it is needed most.
Participants will be informed about the current promotional offers available for AED units, training, and maintenance packages. They will learn how these limited-time deals provide cost savings, added value, and extended support options. This section helps participants understand available benefits when making purchasing or upgrade decisions within the promotional period.
